Teen in critical condition after shooting in Phoenix; police searching for information

A shooting in west Phoenix Saturday night has left one teen reportedly in critical condition. Officers responded to the area of 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road

for reports of a shooting at around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Phoenix police spokesperson Sgt. Robert Scherer said in a statement. Around the same time, officers

were called to a local hospital regarding a teenager with a gunshot wound, Scherer said. The two calls were then linked and worked as one investigation. Start the day

condition. Preliminary information indicates that the victim along with other juveniles left the parking lot of a convenience store when an

unknown suspect fired several shots in their direction, striking the victim, according to the statement. No other information had been released as the
